Village of Mead Planning Commission meeting
May 21st, 2018
The meeting was called to order with a roll call vote. Present were Jody Weible, Rick Miller, Connie Schliffke, Levi Durnal and Melissa Konecky. Matt Bratsburg, Jim Halbmaier and Wyatt Swartz were absent. David MacDonald and Josh Girmus were guests.
We approved the agenda. Connie motioned, and Levi seconded, that we approve the March 26th meeting minutes. All agreed. Connie motioned, and Levi seconded, that we approve the April 23rdregular meeting minutes as well as the minutes from the two public hearings. All agreed.
We adjourned to the public hearing at 7:33 p.m. Jody called the public hearing to order with a roll call vote. We reviewed the final plat from Girmus Investments, LLC to subdivide property to create Girmus Subdivision. It is light industrial and also private property. Each lot owner is to provide their own utilities for now. Also for now, the record of all waivers of roads and utilities In the Girmus Subdivision will kept private. Connie motioned, and Rick seconded, that we recommend approval of Girmus Subdivision. All agreed. Mr. MacDonald would like to put a building on Lot 1. We adjourned to our regular meeting at 7:40 p.m.
Ron Sladek et.al. submitted a demolition permit application to demolish a shed on his property. Rick motioned, and Melissa seconded, that we approve this permit. All agreed.
Colby Properties submitted a building permit application for a house at 110 N.
2ndStreet. Rick motioned, and Connie seconded, that we approve this building permit. All agreed.
Jerome and June Moline submitted a building permit application for a wooden 5’ x 8’ deck. Rick motioned, and Levi seconded, that we approve this building permit. All agreed.
Crystal Konecky submitted a building permit application for a fence. It would be a temporary fence around the pool until their roof gets re-shingled. Then, they will put up a permanent 6’ chain-link fence. Connie motioned, and Rick seconded, that we approve this building permit. All agreed.
Albert Morales submitted a building permit application for a fence. Levi motioned, and Connie seconded, that we approve this building permit. All agreed.
Frontier Coop submitted a building permit application to construct a warehouse building. Connie motioned, and Rick seconded, that we recommend approval to the Village Board. All agreed except Levi who abstained from voting.
Levi, Matt and Wyatt all have terms expiring. Election of officers will be held in June.
At 8:10 p.m., Connie motioned, and Rick seconded, that we adjourn the meeting. All agreed.
