Village of Mead Planning Commission Meeting
Monday April 27, 2020
The Village of Mead Planning Commission met Monday, April 23rd, 2020 at 7:30 PM via Zoom teleconferencing. The meeting was called to order by President Rick Miller with roll call. Present were Connie Schliffke, Jim Halbmaier, Levi Durnal, Mathew Bratsburg, Rick Miller, Robert Morin, Wyatt Swartz.
Chair states: “The Village of Mead makes available at least one current copy of the Open Meetings Act posted in the meeting room at a location accessible to members of the public. The Act is posted in the front entry of the Village Office.”
Robert motioned and Mathew seconded the motion to approve agenda. All agreed. Mathew motioned and Levi seconded, to approve the minutes of the March 23, 2020 regular meeting.
Scheduled Guests: Parry Siebanaler, Lisa Siebanaler, Benjamin Muilenberg, Kyle Kennebeck, Brian Degner and Juston Brazda. Also present was Village Clerk June Moline.
The Chair opened discussion of New Business. The following items were discussed.
Parry and Lisa Siebenaler, 105 N. Spruce Street (R-1) – Application for a Building Permit to construct a wooden privacy fence.
Following discussion, the permit was approved contingent upon an adjusted setback of 25 feet on the south property line.
Robert motioned and Mathew seconded the motion to approve. All agreed.
Kyle Kennebeck, 125 N. Spruce Street (R-1) Application for a Building Permit to construct a shed.
Following discussion, the permit was approved contingent on the permit being amended to specify garage instead of shed. Construction to meet the garage specifications.
Mathew motioned and Jim seconded the motion to approve. All agreed.
Jerry Charles, 21 N. Third Circle (R-2) Application for a Building Permit to construct a 4’ wooden fence.
The application was reviewed.
Connie motioned and Robert seconded the motion to approve. All agreed.

The application was reviewed.
Jim motioned and Robert seconded the motion to approve. All agreed.
Brian Degner, 1055 Gassert Drive (SR) – Application for a Building Permit to construct a house, attached garage.
The application was reviewed.
Connie motioned and Mathew seconded the motion to approve. All agreed.
Brian Degner, 1055 Gassert Dr., Box 69 (SR) – Application for a Building Permit to construct a steel building/shed.
The application was reviewed. The permit was correct to reflect zoning type SR.
Robert motioned and Mathew seconded the motion to approve. All agreed.
Konecky Oil Inc., 990 Co Rd M (B-1) – Application for a Building Permit to reface existing cabinet.
The application was reviewed.
Wyatt motioned and Mathew seconded the motion to approve. All agreed.
This permit will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees for final approval due to being in the Commercial District.
Mead Public Schools, 114 N. Elm (R-2) – Application for Building Permit to extend wall 10’ off of current building
The application was reviewed.
Wyatt motioned and Jim seconded the motion to approve. All agreed.
Anthony Gartner, 318 E. First Street (R-2) – Application for a Building Permit to construct a wooden fence.
Tabled – No Application Received.
Mark and Lora Koelmel, 715 S. Vine Street (R-1) – Application for a Building Permit to construct a garage
Tabled – No Application Received.
Up for re-appointment May 2020 – Ricky Miller, Jim Halbmaier, Robert S. Morin
Following discussion, Ricky, Jim and Robert agreed to continue in their current rolls pending Board of Trustees approval.
Unscheduled New Business: Mathew Bratsburg informed the board, that he is moving out of Mead and would no longer be able to continue in his current roll with the planning board.
May meeting will be May 18 due to Memorial Day falling on the fourth Monday of the month was discussed. No objections voiced.
The Chair opened discussion of Old Business. No old business was presented.
Unscheduled Guests: No unscheduled guests were in attendance.
At 8:10 PM the chair called for adjournment. Wyatt motioned and Matt seconded.
