VILLAGE OF MEAD – PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES – October 25,2021

The Village of Mead Planning Commission met Monday, October 25,2021, at 6:34 pm. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Levi Durnal with roll call.  Present were Levi Durnal, Robert Morin, James Hannan, Connie Schliffke, Jim Halbmaier and Wyatt Swartz.

 

Chairman states: “The Village of Mead makes available at least one current copy of the Open Meetings Act posted in the meeting room at a location accessible to members of the public. The Act is posted in the front entry of the Community Building.”

 

Connie motioned, and Robert seconded the motion to approve the agenda.  All members present agreed.

 

Robert motioned, and Jim seconded to approve the September 27, 2021, meeting minutes.  All members present agreed.

NEW BUSINESS

 

Review and discuss permit application from Jordan Schliffke, 519 S. Oak St. – Building Permit Application to construct a landing with steps onto the house (R-1).

 

Following discussion of the application James motioned, and Jim seconded to recommend approval of the permit to the Village Board. All members present agreed.

 

Review and discuss permit application from Ronald and Lori Kuhn, 120 N. Second St. – Building Permit Application to erect a wooden Storage Shed 12’x16′ (R-2).

 

Following discussion of the application Connie motioned, and Scott seconded to recommend approval of the permit contingent on a variance approval by the Village Board. All members present agreed.

 

Review and discuss permit application from John and Laura Benal, 17 N. Elm St. – Building Permit Application to construct a garage/shed (R-1).

 

Following discussion of the application Wyatt motioned, and Jim seconded to recommend approval of the permit to the Village Board. All members present agreed.

 

Review and discuss permit application from Randy Gracheck, New Fields – Building Permit Application to install two pools at AtlEn, 1344 Co Rd 10 (AG/1)).

 

Following discussion of the application, Robert motioned, and Wyatt seconded to recommend the permit be denied by the Village Board.  All members present agreed.

 

At 7:30, the Chair called for an adjournment.  Jim motioned, and Connie seconded.  All members present agreed.
