The Mead Planning Commission met Monday, August 25, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.
Present were Jody Weible, Melissa Konecky, Connie Schliffke, Rick Miller,
Levi Durnal and Jennie Grasiani. Steve Kadavy and Dennis Berry were absent.
Rick motioned, and Connie seconded, that we adopt the agenda and approve the minutes from the July 28, 2014 regular meeting and public hearing.
We discussed the unfinished business of Gabriel Gonzales septic tank issues.
Under title 124 a septic tank is required for residences and businesses in Mead. Jody mentioned that you need 2 acres to build a new septic system. It was mentioned that a fire safety inspection should be done at Gabriel’s business. To ensure that the Fire Dept .has proper access, and that the business is not a fire hazard. It was noted that an RV is not acceptable housing due to dumpage issues. The No Parking Signs mentioned at the last meeting are a good idea. We are waiting for the lawyer to give us further information.
We did not have a demo permit from Gary and Christina Hollst. Therefore we were unable to discuss their sunporch demo.
We reviewed Terry Millers permit for a fence at 28 North Vine Street. Jody contacted Terry to find out height of fence. It is to be a 6ft tall fence. It meets all setbacks. Rick made a motion to approve the permit. Melissa seconded and all approved.
At 7:50 Melissa made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Rick seconded and all agreed.
