Village of Mead Planning Commission meeting of April 24th, 2017
The Village of Mead Planning Commission met Monday, April 24th, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Jody Weible, Connie Schliffke, Levi Durnal, Matt Bratsburg, Wyatt Swartz and Melissa Konecky. Jim Halbmaier and Rick Miller were absent. Adam Miller was a guest.
We adopted the agenda. Matt motioned, and Connie seconded, that we approve the minutes from the last meeting. All agreed.
Adam Miller submitted a building permit application for a 30’ x 50’ garage. His house ‘s footprint is 80’ x 35’. Connie motioned, and Matt seconded, that we approve the permit. All agreed.
Charmaine Payne submitted a demolition permit application to demolish a garage in Joyce Circle. Wyatt motioned, and Melissa seconded, that we approve the permit. All agreed.
Irvie Hook was on the agenda for a demolition permit but had not submitted the application.
Jim Halbmaier, Rick Miller and Jody Weible have terms expiring in May. They were all reappointed.
American Marksman, a company that fixes defective weapons and bullets, wants to purchase the former ABC building. Planning Commission members (including a fireman) said that even a few hundred pounds of gunpowder (which will be stored in a bunker) in a worst-case scenario would not cause a problem for the Village of Mead. There could be 30 to 40 jobs within a year.
At 8:05 p.m., Melissa motioned, and Connie seconded, that we adjourn. All agreed.
