Safety Concerns

With the start of a new school year, please use extra caution for children riding their bicycles and crossing at intersections.

Many residents walk or take their dogs out for daily walks. Please watch for these folks also. Please remember to observe the posted speed limits in Mead. Also, STOP at all stop signs – they are mounted for a purpose. Slowing down and rolling through the stop sign is not considered a stop. If these are not observed, you run the risk of being presented a ticket!

PARENTS: Please educate your children on walking and bicycle safety. Several complaints have been expressed regarding children playing and/or riding their bicycles in blindspots on the streets of Mead.
