VILLAGE OF MEAD BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING HELD JANUARY 11th

A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held January 11 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mead Community Building.  Answering roll call were Trustees Felty, Simon and Wielage.  Absent were Chairman Thorson and Trustee Lee.  Also present were Clerk Moline and Utilities/Maintenance Superintendent Luetkenhaus.

     REPORTSPolice – The purchase of a 2020 Dodge Charger for $22,600 was approved.  Utilities/Maintenance Superintendent – Luetkenhaus reported on the completion of several tasks.  Discussion was held on issues at the water plant.  Clerk – Moline reported on ARPA project, concern at a property, and survey requirements to identify the types of service lines within the community.

NEW BUSINESS:  Action was taken to approve an Amendment to Loan Agreement between the Village of Mead and NDEE Project No. C317854 and authorized the Chairman to sign the amendment.

The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.

*Trivia Time for all ages! Join us on Saturday, February 5. Starting at 10a, bring your Thinking Hat and get ready to win some prizes! All ages welcome.

*Cookie Tasting Party – Just in time for Valentine’s Day! Saturday, February 12 at 10a, bring 2 dozen cookies (with recipe) to the library and let the tasting begin! Coffee and milk will be served. Adults only please.

*Mark your calendar now for our Annual Mardi Gras Party! March 1 from 4p til 5p.

DOG AND CAT OWNERS ARE REQUIRED TO LICENSE THEIR PETS –

Residents owning dogs and cats within village limits are required to license their pet(s) by May 1.  Licenses may be obtained at the village office during regular business hours or by mailing your pet’s current rabies shot record and payment to:  Box 46, Mead.  You may also deliver to the drop box located by the village front door and I will return your pet’s record, license receipt, and tag to you via mail or door  delivery.  Cost to license a pet is $4.00 altered or $6.00 intact.

 

SNOW REGULATIONS

Upon a snowfall of two (2”) inches or more, it shall be unlawful to park or stand any vehicle on any street within the Village of Mead until the street has been cleared of snow.  Any vehicle parked on any street or alley obstructing the removal of snow may be ticketed or immediately removed upon order of the Police Department. 5-311, 5-311.1

Occupants of any lot or lots or the owner of any vacant lot or lots within the corporate limits shall not allow snow, sleet, mud, ice, or other substance to accumulate on the sidewalks or to permit any snow, sleet, ice, mud, or other substance to remain upon said sidewalk.  All sidewalks within the Municipality shall be cleaned within twenty-four (24) hours after the cessation of the storm. 8-2
