Call to Order

Patocka called to order the regular meeting the Mead Library Board at 5:30pm on March 16, 2016.

Roll Call

Present: Members Present: Kristi Kavan, Jenny Carritt, Denise Patocka. Members Absent: Jill Leise. Directors Present: Lori Moseman and Laurie VanAckeren

Guests: Viki Miller

Approval of minutes from last meeting

Minutes from February 2016 meeting approved as presented by Carritt, 2nd by Kavan.

Expenses, Finances and Stats approved as presented by Carritt, 2nd by Kavan.

New Business

Jenny Carritt resigned due to moving out of Mead.

Library Board would like to present Dr. Dale Rawson and Viki Miller to Village Board as replacement board members for Sara Nicola and Jenny Carritt.

Lori M delivered 7 volumes of The Mead Advocate to the Saunders County Historical Society.

Old Omaha World Herald issues currently in Library will be offered for free to public via Facebook and at the May 7thFriends bake sale.

Scott Childers will be requested to attend April meeting at 5:30pm. Will count towards continuing education credits for Board Members.

Library needs a storm emergency kit, Kavan is supplying a weather radio. Library needs smoke detectors.

April calendar is full of activities for the village. Calendar is available at the Library.

Summer Reading scheduled for June 7-10 from 10:00am-11:30am.

Laurie V was awarded grant as long as she can get ½ matching funds from Friends.

Kavan to attend Friends meeting on 3/23 at 6:30pm.

Old Business

Reviewed codes and policy, need to find most recent copy of Library Bi-Laws and Library Director Job description. Continued working on Accreditation document requirements.
