Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, January 7, 2025
- Meeting was called to order by Jenn Lee at 6:10pm. Open Meetings Act poster was pointed out on the west wall of the back room.
- Roll Call:
- Members Present: Cara Simon (2027), Jenn Lee (2026), Amanda Schaal (2028), Kylee Hickman (2028)
- Members Absent: None
- Library Employees Present: Director-Laurie VanAckeren
- Library Employees Absent: Lori Moseman and Roberta Kisling

- December minutes reviewed.
- Lee moved to approve December minutes as presented. Second by Hickman. Motion carried. Unanimous approval.

- Open Discussion from the Public: None
- Bills, Financials, and Monthly Reports for November
- December Bills/Financial transactions reports were reviewed.
- Lee moved to approve December Bills, Financials, and Monthly Reports. Second by Simon. Motion carried. Unanimous approval.
- December Bills/Financial transactions reports were reviewed.
- New Business/Director’s Report
- Stats for December were reviewed. Most areas down a bit, likely due to patron’s busy schedules in December and nice weather. Libby circulation stayed consistent.
- CASTL event on January 17, 2025. Laurie has asked the Library Board to provide breakfast items.
- The Library received a large Christmas donation from long time friends, The Hollsts. The Library Board is so grateful for their continued support.
- Craft Retreat this Saturday 1/11, 9am-6pm. We are almost FULL and so excited! Thank you to the Friends of the Library for hosting this new event.

- Reappointment for Library Board Officers
- Hickman moved to nominate and approve Jen Lee as President and Cara Simon as Secretary. Schaal seconded. Unanimous approval. Reappointments approved.

- The Board held discussion on finding a new Trustee.
