Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes

Tuesday, April 4, 2023

• Meeting was called to order by Kylee Hickman at 6:05 pm.  Open Meetings Act poster was pointed out on the west wall of the back room.
• Roll Call:
  • Members Present-Mayfield (2024), Hickman (2024), Sara Else (2027)
  • Member Absent- Lee (2026), Cara Simon (2027)
  • Also Present-Library Director-Laurie VanAckeren

• Director’s Report
  • March stats were reviewed. Stats in ALL areas improved from February to March.
  • Seuss party had 11 kids.
  • Kids Movie had 14 kids.
  • Crochet night had 6 people.
  • Mead Book Club had 13 people.
  • Easter Activity – 18 kids.
  • Laurie will attend SELS Training Extravaganza on May 12^th from 9:30-3:00.
  • May 10^th Book and Bake Sale during garage sale days. Board Members will each provide a baked item.
  • Mother’s Day Craft – will be done on Monday the 8^th after school and Saturday the 13^th.
  • Coming Soon – Children’s Book Bags – 3 Brand new books, a craft, and a small toy – paid for by a grant.
• Board Member Reports:
  • Sara Else fixed our problem with the Facebook account. Instagram to follow.
• Minutes, Bills, Financials, and Monthly Reports for March
  • Mayfield moved to approve – Seconded by Hickman.
  • Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 6:37.

Next Meeting: Tuesday, May 9^nd at 6pm Mead Public Library (This is a week later than our usual time).
