Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes

Tuesday, August 3, 2021

1. Meeting was called to order by Jen Lee at 5:45pm.  Open Meetings Act poster was pointed out on the west wall of the back room.

1. Roll Call:
   1. Members Present-Mayfield, Hickman, Lee
   2. Member Absent-Giorgakopoulos, Grasiani
   3. Also, Present-Library Director-Laurie, Van Ackeren

1. No Guests or Public Items to discuss

1. Business Items
   1. Board Members-Tiffany King agreed to serve on the library board pending Village Board approval.
   2. FFA still needs to be reimbursed for mulch.

1. Director’s Report
   1. Stats-We had excellent participation in summer activities-31 attended the two special activities and a total of 96 took part in on-going activities.
   2. Current Budget-Board discussed use of remaining training budget.
   3. New Budget was discussed
   4. Sustainable Shelf Program-We will utilize our volunteers for this program.
   5. Replacement of door was discussed.
   6. Board Certification-hours need to be completed summer.
   7. Remaining SRP prizes will be used at a “Fall Fling”.
   8. Garden-Still looking for volunteers to maintain plants on the east, west, and south.

   1. Lee moved to approve.
   2. Seconded by Hickman.
   3. Motion carried.
