Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes

Tuesday, February 1, 2022

1. Meeting was called to order by Mary Mayfield at 5:00pm.  Open Meetings Act poster was pointed out on the west wall of the back room.
2. Roll Call:
   1. Members Present-Mayfield, King, Hickman
   2. Member Absent- Lee, Grasiani
   3. Also Present-Library Director-Laurie Van Ackeren
3. No Guests or Public Items to discuss
4. Business Items
   1. No new business at this time.
5. Director’s Report
   1. Mardi Gras Party-March 1, 2022, 4pm-5pm. Board to help if able.
   2. 26 people attended the Welcome Winter party
   3. 10 people attended the Cupcake Wars event
   4. Budget and circulation stats look good
   5. Ideas were discussed in relation to donations in Jan Behren’s name
   6. New carpet and bathroom improvements look good.
   7. Great reviews of new teen area—still to be completed.
   8. Several grants were received and are/will be used for a new TV, activities for older patrons, indoor improvements

   1. Mayfield moved to approve.
   2. Seconded by Hickman.
   3. Motion carried.
