PROCEEDINGS – VILLAGE OF MEAD BOARD OF TRUSTEES

SPECIAL MEETING

June 17, 2019

A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mead, NE was held June 17, 2019 at the Village Office. Chairman Guyle called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.  Notice of the meeting was provided in advance thereof by posting notice at the Bank of Mead, US Post Office, and the Village Office as shown by the certificate of posting notice attached to these minutes.  Advance notice was also provided to all members of the Board of Trustees.  All proceedings were held while the convened meeting was open to the public.  Roll call showed the following board members present: Chairman Gary Guyle; Trustees William Thorson and Richard Wielage.  Absent were Jason Felty and Rodney Wimer.  Also present was Clerk June Moline.

Guyle noted the Posting of the Open Meetings Law.

Motion by Wielage, second by Thorson, to adopt the agenda. Vote:  Guyle-yes, Thorson-yes, Wielage-yes, Wimer-absent, Felty-absent; motion carried 3-0.

Guyle explained the purpose of the meeting was to address a required amendment by the USDA that we have our monthly flat fee for water set at $77.70 by the end of the water project. This is an increase from the $75.20 earlier required to be set to support a USDA loan and receive grant dollars.  The amendment is for additional water products that will be needed at the water treatment facility following our pilot test.

Motion by Thorson, second to Wielage, to approve a monthly flat fee of $77.70 for water to be set by the end of the water project. Vote:  Thorson-yes, Wielage-yes, Wimer-absent, Felty-absent, Guyle-yes; motion carried 3-0.

Motion by Guyle, second by Wielage, to adjourn at 6:08 p.m. Vote:  Wielage-yes, Wimer-absent, Felty-absent, Guyle-yes, Thorson-yes; motion carried 5-0.
